    Not only does this device detect leaks, but it will also stop the flow of water to the connected device if a leak were to occur.  It works like this.  If a leak were to occur, the cotton "tablet" expands (2 extra included) pushing the shut off valve close.  This stops the flow of water past the leak detector.
