    Description

This is a Meyer 5M hard rubber mouthpiece for Alto Saxophone.  It has the Meyer lapped facing and a medium chamber and was made in the United States.  There are two faint lines inscribed on the neck of the mouthpiece above the words "medium chamber."  There is also a single faint top ligature line.  While the sides of the ligature area are smooth, glossy and free of markings, there are markings on the top of the ligature area.  These might be hand-inscribed but are hard to read, if so.  Perhaps they are just from ligature hardware also.  It's unclear.  The beak of the mouthpiece is smooth and without teeth markings.  The table is in good shape and has the Meyer "diamond" at the base (see photo).  The rails and tip are also in good shape.  Of course, it has been cleaned before offering it for sale.
This mouthpiece is used but remains in very good condition.
