his listing is for a vintage Selmer (Elkhart - New York) mouthpiece for Bb bass clarinet. It is stamped 2 on the side, and has a tip opening of .065". It is made out of hard rubber, not plastic. In fact, these old Selmer USA mouthpieces are considered to be made of very good quality hard rubber, making them excellent candidates for refacing/customization. This one certainly doesn't need re-facing though. It is in excellent, and original, condition. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth. There is some light tooth scratching on the beak, but no indentations. The rubber is slightly discolored/faded from age, and the logo is a bit worn. The cork is in good condition, but it may need to be replaced or adjusted for proper fit on your instrument. This mouthpiece has been cleaned and sanitized. Also included are the ligature and cap shown, both of which are in fine condition and fit the mouthpiece well.
